About Me:: I am director of the J-School at MSU. I was a tree hugging hard news reporter for most of my caeer, but I learned to hang ten on the web in the mid-1990s. Now I am struggling to keep and update my skills and rethink and reinvent how we "commit" journalism in this fast evolving multiplatform environment.
