- Graduated in May 2000 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor's Degree in advertising. Started at the Grand Island Independent in May 2000 in the online department and have been here ever since and I love it!
I enjoy almost all forms of music, going to concerts, reading, surfing the 'net, interesting conversations with interesting people, laughing, spending time with friends and family, keeping in touch with my inner child, living life, pop culture, playing with my pets, singing, riding roller coasters, design, experimenting with make-up, watching movies, the history channel, PhotoShop, traveling, cotton candy lip smacker, Halloween and so much more!

I have had this blog for several years where I review my concert experiences as well as post music news I find interesting. It is fairly tailored to the types of music I enjoy as opposed to a blanket music blog. I have been updating it more frequently as of late due to the fact the my newspaper is featuring it as one of the staff blogs. MTV's New Show Called "The Paper" - premieres on April 14
I am sure it will focus more on drama between the students then the actual journalism of it all given MTV’s history. That said, doing a show about a newspaper – high school or otherwise – isn’t commonplace anymore so I think this will be interesting to watch.
