Which of these best describes your day job?
Multimedia Producer
About Me:
I worked for six months in the newsroom at The Philadelphia Inquirer as part of a co-op program with Drexel University, helping to develop a video content strategy, training reporters and photographers on using new media technology, shooting and producing video segments, doing general story and feature production for Philly.com.
I am a 2008 Drexel University graduate with a Bachelors of Science degree in Digital Media. I do not have specific journalism training, but have since worked as Multimedia Producer for an Annapolis region magazine publisher, What's Up? Publishing Group, which produces the What's Up? Annapolis, What's Up? Eastern Shore, and What's Up? Weddings magazines.
I currently work as a Creative Marketing Specialist at Netcordia, Inc. an Annapolis-based software company, but my interest in journalism lives on, and I hope to work with area news organizations and startups to bring the news to Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Welcome! Feel free to blog some war stories from the Inquirer newsroom. Some real-world examples pulled from your experience there could really help out folks just getting started in multimedia.
